INTEGRITY
Golden Flower Chinese Herbs offers an exceptional line of Chinese herbal formulas designed by clinicians and manufactured with select Chinese herbs. John Scott, DOM and Lorena Monda, DOM founded the company in 1990. John has been practicing acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine since 1982, and Lorena since 1984. John and Lorena created Golden Flower Chinese Herbs to meet a rising need for high quality, reasonably priced formulas—without the impurities, adulterants, or questionable ingredients found in some prepared formulas. The first Golden Flower formula came about after we sent a popular patent formula to a lab for testing. The test results indicated that the formula was adulterated with a powerful western drug not indicated on the label. As practitioners we became concerned that we could not be accountable for the herbs we prescribed to our patients if we did not know what was in them.

Golden Flower formulas use the highest quality raw materials. They are selected for freshness and verified to insure that the correct genus, species, and part of the plant are used. We ensure that your patients are getting safe, correct, and effective herb formulas by employing advanced techniques in herb selection, identification, and processing. All of our formulas are tested for pesticide residues, microbial activity and heavy metals. Our products exceed current international GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) standards.
The precise formulation percentages are given so that clinicians can know exactly what they are prescribing to their patients.

As diseases evolve, so must our strategies to treat them. Many of our products are traditional, classical Chinese prescriptions. Other formulas are modifications of traditional formulas, adapted to better address the modern western patient. Some are new formulas based on traditional strategies for modern complaints. All new formulations go through a period of clinical testing in prototype form before they are made available.
RESOURCES AND EDUCATION
We seek to expand the use of Chinese herbs by providing clear and useful information to practitioners. We offer real-time professional consultations by licensed Doctors of Oriental Medicine by phone during our regular business hours. Additionally, we offer professional education workshops and seminars to benefit clinicians of varying skill levels and backgrounds. ADVOCACY AND COMMUNITY SUPPORT
We, at Golden Flower Chinese Herbs, work to raise public awareness of the benefits of Oriental medicine. By offering superior products and the resources to effectively use them, we hope to aid you in successfully supporting your patients’ health and well-being.
Additionally, we support future practitioners of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (AOM) by providing student scholarships to numerous schools of Oriental Medicine. We are also involved in many activities that support the growth of our profession. Our founder, John Scott, DOM has been active in the efforts by the American Association of Oriental Medicine (AAOM) and the American Herbal Products Association (AHPA) to bring a more practical and positive outcome in the development of regulations that affect the access to Chinese herbs. Our company has been supportive to AOM professional associations and schools across the US. Because Golden Flower Chinese Herbs was founded by practitioners, we feel a strong connection to the profession of AOM, and to our patients. We have also made donations for disaster relief around the world and given support to various causes in need.
