Pulse diagnosis touches upon the river of life streaming from the heart. When the diagnostician provides a space for ‘no doing’ to occur, the patient’s processes and structures in the realms of spirit, mind and body become apparent. It is not enough to articulate the various phenomena that occur within and around the vessels whether they are texture, shape, volume or features of time such as waves, rhythm and rate. As a living being sensitive and compassionate, we receive the patient in a spacious place that is free of our own fears and hopes, a place that is free of our attachments to clinical outcomes.

Eight Extraordinary Vessel and Six Channel Pulse Diagnosis

7 CEUs

Saturday, June 2, 2012

This one-day intensive explores methods for assessing the Eight Extraordinary Vessels (8EV) and the Six Channel System of Wang Shu-de. The 8EV are the vessels of the curious organs, individual constitution, and yuan qi. The 6 Channel System of Wang Shu-de is an imminently practical approach to assessing soft tissue damage and internal disorders.

Evolution, Consciousness, and Divergent Channel Treatments

7 CEUs

Sunday, June 3, 2012

Rooted in the classics, yet imminently practicable, this course takes participants into an experience that can be translated immediately to the clinic. Pulse diagnostic tools are used to explore the impact of trauma upon the individual and how this trauma is stored in the Divergent Channels. Whether physical or psychosocial, from cradle to grave, these events leave imprints upon the body and the mind. The pulse is an eloquent tool for understanding the relationship between an imprint and the tools of Chinese medicine.
