SEMINAR SCHEDULE
Raleigh/Durham, NC
October 25-26, 2008
Transformation is happening all the time. In our office, things are changing from the moment our patients walk in until the moment they leave. Some of these transformations in physical symptoms, emotional states, and mental clarity are easy for practitioners to notice and support, and some are not. This is especially true when things seem stuck, or when the patient seems resistant or non-compliant. In this class we will learn how to recognize and support transformative moments that arise spontaneously, and how to see resistance as part of the transformation process. We will look at barriers to transformation and explore the tools we have as practitioners to help our patients discover choice points and utilize internal and external resources for healing.
Skills Taught
Presence: Active acceptance of resistance and change.
Mindfulness: Bringing awareness to the felt experience of change and barriers to change .
