Our Staff
Golden Flower Chinese Herbs has grown quickly in the last few years. We started in 1990 with 2 employees (John and Lorena). In 1993, we moved to Albuquerque and hired our first paid employee, Andrea Kidd (now General Manager), and today we’ve grown to a large family of over 20 employees.
Golden Flower has a diverse and dedicated team working to serve you. Here are some of the people who work with us to get your orders to you.

- John Scott is the founder and President of Golden Flower Chinese Herbs and a Doctor of Oriental Medicine who has been in practice since 1982. He works hard to make sure the best Chinese herbs are available to you and your patients.
- John plays electric guitar in a “garage band” called “Rock Zone”.
- Some of his favorite musicians include Freddie King, Guitar Slim, and Eric Clapton. John is a serious contender in any Beatles trivia contest.

- Andrea is the General Manager “Extraordinaire” and has worked for Golden Flower since the company moved to Albuquerque in 1993.
- Andrea is a busy mother of an active 4-year-old boy and a toddler girl.
- When she has free time, she loves to mountain bike ride, is a gourmet chef, and a blue belt in Tae Kwon Do.

- Sasha is a Customer Service Representative who enjoys working for Golden Flower and feels it is one of the best workplaces he’s ever been a part of.
- Sasha loves: film, nature, learning about various plants, reading inspiring books over and over again, meditating, and feeling the blessings of life daily.
- Raime is a Customer Service Representative who moved to New Mexico from Oklahoma.
- Raime is also a freelance photographer and model, and hopes to get the education to become a Soundtrack Director. She is an avid music enthusiast and has a broad range of interests from bluegrass country to progressive folk metal. ”I worship nature in all its forms and love to be outdoors. I live my life to evolve, love, and be happy in all that I do.”

- Ryan is one of our Customer Fulfillment Specialists; he’s been at Golden Flower since September 2005.
- Ryan’s obsessed with world mythology, religion, and philosophy. He has over 30 hours’ worth of tattooing and plans to get more. He also loves bike riding and yoga.

- Jennifer Verhoog is a D.O.M. and one of Golden Flower’s Professional Customer Service Representatives.
- Jennifer has vast experience with animal wellness and offers her assistance to veterinarians who wish to explore alternative options.
- As a recent transplant to New Mexico she is finding many ways to enjoy the Land of Enchantment such as biking, horseback riding in the bosque, hiking the Sandias, and most recently, kayaking.
