Why Chinese Herbs?
Extending back thousands of years, Chinese Medicine offers a rich heritage and history in healthcare and healing. Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) assesses medicinal substances for their effects on particular vital substances, their resonance with particular organ systems, the channels or meridians into which the substance is said to enter, and the pathogenic factors and patterns of disharmony that the substance is known to address. Chinese herbs are rarely used individually. They are commonly combined into a formula using synergistic single herbs. Over time, it has been discovered that herbs can be strengthened, guided, balanced, and modified by combining them into a formula.
Acupuncturists and Training
Certified TCM schools offer programs ranging from 3-5 years in theory and practice. Graduating students must pass a test to become certified nationally through the NCCAOM (National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine) and also through most states. They must maintain licensure though completing continuing education courses.

Journey to Wellness
Once diagnosed by your acupuncturist, a treatment plan will be developed, most likely including Chinese herbs. Your unique situation will dictate how long a treatment strategy will take. A good rule of thumb is one month of care for every year you have had a certain condition. Chinese herbs work naturally with your body's innate wisdom to return it to a state of balance.
Why Golden Flower Chinese Herbs?
Golden Flower Chinese Herbs was founded in 1990 by two acupuncturists. At that time, there was little testing done on Chinese herbs. In order to prescribe herbs responsibly to their patients, they went in search of a manufacturer that they could hold accountable. They developed one, and then five initial formulas. After 25 years of dedication, Golden Flower now has over 125 formulas and is available internationally through licensed practitioners. Our herbs are made from bulk herbs and go through a rigorous five-step process guaranteeing herbs of the highest quality. Most of our herbal formulas are in tablet form. These tablets are highly concentrated and are easy to take. Ask your practitioner for Golden Flower Chinese Herbs as part of your journey to wellness!
